Our Pastor

Rev. Clint Thorson

Clint was born on a small farm in eastern Colorado. Right after high school, Clint pursued a degree in engineering at the Colorado School of Mines. After three years of studying physics and mechanical engineering, Clint decided to change career paths. He transferred to Concordia University, Nebraska in 2006 and began studying Theology with the intent of becoming a pastor.

Gaining a degree in theology from Concordia, Clint went on to study at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis to become a pastor. After one year there, he married Amber Schwartz, whom he had met at Concordia Nebraska in 2010. In 2011, Clint went on vicarage to Faith Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, South Dakota under the watchful eye of his supervising pastor, Rev. Scott Sailer. Then just after returning from vicarage, Clint was blessed to become a father to his first daughter, Aliyah, in 2012. Clint went on to graduate from the seminary in 2013 but spent an additional year studying for another degree.

His first call was to Tree of Life Lutheran Church in Garland, Texas in 2014. While in Texas, Clint was blessed with his second daughter Anja. After four years at Tree of Life, Clint took a call to a dual parish, serving Our Savior and St. John Lutheran Churches in Madison and Howard, South Dakota respectively. He was blessed with two more daughters, Ariana and Adwyn, while serving at this dual parish. In November of 2023, Clint took the call to Eternal
Savior in his home state of Colorado and now joyfully serves as pastor to this part of God’s flock in Lafayette, Colorado.
